They specialise in providing mechanical and electrical building services, building fabrics repair and soft services to multiple sectors inclusive of commercial offices, education, critical environments, retail sites, shopping centres, local authorities, distribution and logistics, manufactures.

The Role - Facilities Engineer

Working at high-profile, iconic manufacturing site in Motherwell. Working closely with their on-site engineering team and Facilities Manager, you will be tasked with proactively accomplishing the everyday facilities/maintenance requirements of their client within the set Service Level Agreement terms, ensuring all work orders are opened, completed and closed in real time with a finish you, our team and our business are proud to call our own.

This is a permanent days role, working Monday to Friday with plenty of overtime available.

Facilities Engineer - Role Responsibilities:

Completing PPM's
Reactive works including (but not limited to), Electrical, Basic HVAC maintenance, basic plumbing, general fabric repairs (interior and exterior)
Liaising with sub-contractors
Ability to manage a busy workload whilst maintaining high levels of service execution
Provide technical assistance to your team mates as required
Ability to work as part of a highly functional team and also take the initiative to work on your own
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Facilities Engineer - Requirements


Demonstrable previous hands-on experience of working within a busy manufacturing environment
Strong level of written and oral communication skills
18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
Broad range of fault-finding experience on various systems inc (Electrical, plumbing, HVAC etc.)
Understanding and ability to adhere to client and employer Health and Safety policies
Willingness to support your team by picking up extra responsibilities as and when required

Recognised apprenticeship (Electrical, Gas, Plumbing, AC etc)
Functional knowledge of control systems
Further training on Gas or Electrical systems
Recognised HSE Qualification (SMSTS, IOSH, NEBOSH etc.)
A strong desire to succeed and progress through the ranks of the business through personal development.
