We are working with an engineering business who have just started to recruit for a Manufacturing Manager to join their senior management team. Based from their state of the art facility, this is a superb opportunity for someone seeking real autonomy in a professional, forward thinking business.

THE ROLE

Reporting straight to the MD, you will be a key member of the sites senior management team. You will be overseeing a skilled workforce across production, assembly and manufacturing. Managing the daily production of the bespoke products, your key KPI's will be focused on maintaining the high standards on site with regards to OTIF delivery/ Quality/ Health & safety and Cost, as well as being a key figure in establishing ongoing continuous improvement programmes on site. You will also need to be a strong leader, and be capable of empowering, training and developing teams. Key responsibilities will include;

Ensuring the optimum levels of OTIF are maintained

Keeping site efficiency's to an optimum level, suggesting positive process improvements wherever possible

driving improvements in a multi-skilled environment, achieving set agreed deadlines

Ongoing development of the team around you

championing best practice where H&S/ lean manufacturing are concerned

THE PERSON

The ideal Manufacturing Manager will need to have a proven track record of delivering results in demanding manufacturing environments. You will be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and have clear leadership qualities. key experiences will include;

Strong manufacturing management experience within an engineering environment (Automotive / Aerospace / Defence)

Excellent communication & organisational skills

Track record of leading and developing teams of people

Degree/ additional industry qualifications (NEBOSH/ SIX Sigma) preferred, but not essential

Experience in Lean Manufacturing Methodologies
