Job Title: Interim Reward Manager
Contract type: Interim day rate
Duration: 3-4 months initially
Hours: full-time or part-time - they are happy to agree to between 3 to 5 days
Working hours: They are happy to offer flexibility on when you start and finish
Day rate: £400 per day but might flex on this for a superstar
Location: City of London or Northampton - either location is fine

They are on the lookout for a permanent Reward Manager but they want to make sure that they take their time over hiring the right person. With this in mind they want to bring in someone on an interim basis to help manage the annual reward activities until they appoint someone permanently. If you ultimately want a permanent job then you will of course get a foot in the door but if you are just seeking a contract, that is also fine.
What will be keeping you busy?
Depending on what crops up while you are there they could need help across a range of activities…
They will need you to help effectively manage the current suite of employee benefits in the UK. This includes being responsible for the annual renewals process under the direction of the Global Head of Reward.
You will oversee benefits communications ensuring that employees have access to the information they need, when they need it. Working with internal communications, you will develop an annual communication plan to engage employees in the benefits offering.
They will want you to be an escalation point for people ops and people partners for non-standard benefits and pension queries.
In addition to this you will support the pension allowance process to ensure correct payments and work with payroll to run audits to ensure compliant and correct payments.
Provide benchmarking for roles in both the UK and US and provide recommendations.
Managing relationships is key as you will need to ensure managers and people partners understand the salary administration guidance. You will also manage the annual salary review, bonus payment and equity grant under the guidance of the Global Head of Reward.
Who are we looking for?
Someone who is DETAILED FOCUSED! Ultimately the Head of Reward wants you to help free up her time so that she can focus on strategic activities but you must be able to ask for help if you need it.
You will have a roll up sleeves and get involved attitude and will be someone that looks for solutions, not problems. You should have strong generalist reward experience with an understanding of UK benefits and taxes.
Our client is a genuine innovator so we are after someone that likes to bring new ideas to the table.
You should have advanced excel skills as this is a key tool of the job and you will also be a great communicator with the ability to help non specialist understand C&B.
